Floral Backgrounds with the Betterpress

Hello! 

Today I’m sharing two cards I created with some backgrounds I made last week. I finally got the Betterpress! Yeah! And I must say, I really love it. I mostly like that you can use the Pressplates with the Betterpress, means with ink and also with foil. So you get a lot from a Product.

I created all the Backgrounds with the Floral Celebration Press Plate. I used mostly Altenew inks and one I foiled with gold foil. Then I colored the flowers with the coordinating Stencil. 

 

For my first card I decided to let the gorgeous background be the focal point of my card. I had so much texture because of the Betterpress. And I only added a white stripe on the bottom an added there my sentiment. 

 

For my second card I used some vellum, so the sentiment stands out more, but you still can see the background. I used the same gold foil for my sentiment to match the flowers. I also added some small Flowers, and finally I rounded two edges so it adds a little interest.

Hallo! 

Heute teile ich zwei Karten, die ich mit einigen Hintergründen gestaltet habe, die ich letzte Woche gemacht habe. Ich habe endlich die Betterpress bekommen! Yeah! Und ich muss sagen, dass ich sie wirklich liebe. Mir gefällt vor allem, dass man die Pressplates mit der Betterpress verwenden kann, also mit Tinte und auch mit Folie. So bekommt man viel von einem Produkt.

Die Hintergründe habe ich alle mit der Floral Celebration Press Plate gestaltet. Ich habe hauptsächlich Altenew-Tinten verwendet und eine mit Goldfolie veredelt. Dann habe ich die Blumen mit der dazugehörigen Schablone koloriert. 

 

Für meine erste Karte habe ich mich entschieden, den wunderschönen Hintergrund zum Mittelpunkt der Karte zu machen. Durch die Betterpress hatte ich so viel Textur. Und ich habe nur einen weißen Streifen am unteren Rand hinzugefügt und dort meinen Schriftzug eingefügt. 

 

Für meine zweite Karte habe ich etwas Vellum verwendet, damit der Spruch besser zur Geltung kommt, aber man kann immer noch den Hintergrund sehen. Für den Spruch habe ich die gleiche Goldfolie verwendet, damit er zu den Blumen passt. Außerdem habe ich noch ein paar kleine Blumen hinzugefügt und zwei Kanten abgerundet, um die Karte noch interessanter zu machen.

 J'ai utilisé les encres Distress Ink pour cette carte ainsi qu'un tampon écriture Hero Arts et un feutre/brush brillant sur les fleurs, une couche de WOW embossing Clear Mat Dull sur un papier Sizzix White Smooth

I used Distress Ink for this card as well as a Hero Arts writing stamp and a glitter pen/brush on the flowers, a layer of WOW embossing Clear Mat Dull on Sizzix White Smooth paper

Clean and simple - with much love

Hello everyone!

 

Today I’m sharing quite a simple card. Sometimes I love a simple design, just to say someone, how much we love them.

For this card I used the Butterfly Swirls. Its actually a Press plate, I foiled it with pewter foil. Then I colored them with my markers. I had to be careful not to blend to much color, because otherwise I would have taken away the foil.

For my background I used little bit of ink with water to crate that soft watercolor look. I also added some splatter. And now it's ready to spread some love. 💕

Hallo zusammen!

 

Heute teile ich eine ganz einfache Karte. Manchmal liebe ich ein einfaches Design, nur um jemandem zu sagen, wie sehr wir ihn lieben.

Für diese Karte habe ich die Butterfly Swirls verwendet. Es ist eigentlich eine Pressplatte, die ich mit Hot Foil Pewter Folie gemacht habe. Dann habe ich sie mit meinen Markern ausgemalt. Ich musste aufpassen, dass ich nicht zu viel Farbe verwischte, denn sonst hätte ich die Folie weggenommen.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein wenig Tinte mit Wasser verwendet, um den weichen Aquarell-Look zu erzielen. Ich habe auch ein paar Spritzer hinzugefügt. Und jetzt ist sie bereit, um etwas Liebe zu verbreiten. 💕

Combining: watercolor, hot foil and betterpress

spero di trovarvi bene! Oggi ho ricevuto un pacco da Scraphouse e non ho resistito ed ho voluto fare queste cards! Mi piace uscire dal mio solito stile e devo ringraziare Marjolein per avermi fatto notare quando sia interessante questa nuova placca per la betterpress!

I hope to find you well! Today I received a package from Scraphouse and I couldn't resist and wanted to make these cards! I like to get out of my usual style and I have to thank Marjolein for pointing out to me how interesting this new betterpress plaque is!

Ho usato la betterpress plate Spring Magnolias sul cartoncino apposito d'acquarello , una volta ottenuto le mie stampe, ho colorato con i Lindy's: Kissin' couple crimson e Dunka biscuit blue green. Ho messo un po' di polvere in una tavolozza d'acquarello ed aggiunto dell'acqua, una volta miscelati insieme ho ottenuto il colore per dipingere fiori e foglie. Una volta asciutti, ho aggiunto dei dettagli con le matite colorate e poi li ho ritagliati con la fustella coordinata.

I used the betterpress plate Spring Magnolias on the appropriate watercolor board , once I got my prints, I colored with Lindy's: Kissin' couple crimson and Dunka biscuit blue green. I put some powder in a watercolor palette and added water, once mixed together I got the color to paint flowers and leaves. Once dry, I added details with colored pencils and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

In seguito ho usato le due placche Spotlight circle duo. Ho iniziato con il cerchio con le righe ed ho sfumato l'inchiostro nero per la betterpress con Rose Gold pigment di Altenew. Per un caso fortuito avevo un stencil di MFT con un cerchio della misura esatta della mia stampa, per cui lo usato come mascheratura per fare degli schizzi d'oro con il Gold pale japanese watercolor.

Next, I used the Spotlight circle duo plates. I started with the circle with the stripes and shaded the black ink for the betterpress with Rose Gold pigment from Altenew. By a fluke I had a stencil from MFT with a circle the exact size of my print, so I used it as a masking to make gold splashes with Gold pale japanese watercolor.

Per il secondo sfondo ho usato la plate circolare con i puntini insieme all' Enchanted gold pigment ink di Altenew.

Per abbellire ho usato i sentiment foilizzato d'oro dal set Must have sentiments hot foil di Simon Hurley per Spellbinders.

For the second background, I used the circular dot plate along with Altenew's Enchanted gold pigment ink.

To embellish I used gold foil sentiments from Simon Hurley's Must have sentiments hot foil set for Spellbinders.
